EARLY BIRD SAVINGS FOR BOOKINGS BEFORE 20th JAN. 2024. ENTER 'EARLY BIRD' AT CHECKOUT Mindfulness invites us to find more ease in our daily lives by relating differently to our moment-to-moment experiences. Many of us spend a lot of time in our heads, thinking, planning, ruminating on the past. Mindfulness invites us to literally come back to our senses, learning to pay more consistent and kind attention to our present-moment experience. Through patience and repetition, this can shift in our way of being and help us to relate more kindly to ourselves and others, connecting more with the moments of joy in our lives. Why Cognitive Therapy? Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based talking therapy that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, low confidence and anxiety disorders. CBT can help us understand and change unhelpful thinking patterns, which cause emotional and behavioural reactions that are not always in line with what we want. By learning and practising new thought patterns and behaviours, with the support of our therapist, we can learn to understand ourselves and others better and develop more helpful responses to the challenges in our life. What is MBCT? Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy – MBCT - blends mindfulness practices and CBT to support you in accessing your inner resources for well-being, kindness and ease in everyday life. Mindfulness-Based Cognitive therapy is one of the most rigorously researched mindfulness-based courses. During the live 8-week participative group programme you will be supported to develop the ‘muscle’ of mindfulness through guided mindfulness meditations, movement practices and group discussion all underpinned by clinical CBT practices to facilitate personal growth and change.
