Service Description

Refresh your meditation practice with a nourishing day of guided mindfulness practices. This day of practice is an opportunity to care for ourselves by creating quiet time and space to practice. We will spend much of the day in silence, as you are led in meditations and other practices. I will guide us in practices ranging from 10 to 40 minutes. Our day will start at 10.30am (CET) (but please arrive a little earlier, the room will be open from 10.25 as we will start the day at 10.30 prompt) and we will finish by 3.30pm (CET). There will be a 15 minute break in the morning and a 45 minute break for lunch around 1.15pm (CET). There will be opportunity to ask questions and check things out as we start and time at the end to reflect on your experiences. It would be helpful to have space to practice all the meditations we are familiar with: body scan, standing and lying yoga, sitting and walking. It can also be helpful to have some blankets and cushions near to support your comfort. Dress in loose and comfortable clothes and layers are also helpful so you can adjust your temperature. To support your practice, create as quiet a space as you are able to for the practice day. If it is possible, pre-arrange breaks and lunch so you can keep interaction with others in your household to a minimum. Everyone’s circumstances are different so just do what you can and what is right for you and your household. Keeping silence during the break periods will support your practice on the day if that is possible for you to do. Likewise, if you need to interact with others in the house then you could use it as an opportunity to practice mindful communication. As always, take good care of yourself and listen to your own inner knowing about what’s right for you. If you need to adjust position, tune out of guidance for a while or take a break and join in again when you are ready that is fine. If you experience any challenges on the day and would find it helpful to speak with me one-to-one, it is helpful to send me a text or a private chat message in Zoom and then we can arrange to talk in a break between practices. This is an opportunity to deepen your mindfulness practice, with the support of a group of others working in the same way. It is also a time to discover the effect of being in silence in a group. I encourage you to see the day as a time to be with yourself in a nurturing way.
